Bridesmaids

I'm having the girls pick out any black knee-ish length dress they want - and will wear again.  They'll wear black strappy sandals of their choice too.  This is one of the dresses I showed them as one of my ideas to work from.

Update:

Picture
BM Gina and her husband Jim have recently announced that they are pregnant with their second child.  She'll be about 7.5 months along by the wedding.  She will be looking for a dress that is very similar to this one.

MOH Shelby and her husband Ken are also currently pregnant with their third child, but is due about 2.5 months before the wedding, and hopes to look smashing in a regular dress by then.  :)

Groom & Groomsmen

Tuxes are picked out, but I can't seem to copy the picture to paste it here...

My stuff

I found my shoes while we were at Kohl's to register.  They were on clearance, and we had a coupon on top of it!  Anyone who knows me, knows I love a great deal!!

My reception shoes!

Found these on a shopping trip with my sister!

The dress

I went dress shopping with my Maid of Honor mostly to humor her (I fully intended to buy a used dress online), and to have that experience with her.  I told everyone that I was NOT buying a dress that day.  I even told Shelby not to let me buy a dress unless it was one of David's Bridal's $99 sale dresses.  This was the first one I tried on of 5 or so, and had to try it on again, because I just couldn't stop looking at the back.  I also never thought I would want a train at all, but this whole dress is so perfect!

The detailing

Most of the detail is all right here on the back.  I have bought a very simple, elbow-length sheer veil so as not to hide any of it.  (the borrowed bra from the store comes up too high, and squished my belly out a bit - please ignore that)  :)

The sales consultants were chatting behind me, and apparently arguing over the price and availability of this dress and another one that's fairly similar.  They looked the style number up and realized THIS dress was being discontinued and replaced with the other dress they were thinking of.  That also meant it was further discounted from the price marked on the tag!  AND, it meant that if I wanted it, I had to take it then and there.  I was overwhelmed with the choice, but after taking a walk with Shelby, and calling my mom and sisters for moral support, I went with it.  As my mom put it, the price was $1 per day until the wedding...

LOVE IT!!!

I won't be wearing them the day of the wedding, but I needed to hide the picture here so Glenn won't see it.
